Cross… Steeple… Where Am I?
May 9th, 2008 Categories: Where Am I?
Since the Pope visited Washington D.C. this is a fitting challenge. Do you know where this beautiful building is located? To make the challenge a little more difficult I didn’t name the jpg! To win the movie tickets you need to tell me where the building is located AND what it is called. No, CHURCH does not work as what it is called.
Is it in Bryan? College Station? Navasota? Hearne? Caldwell? Franklin? Anderson? You just never know where real estate will take us…
Good luck on the challenge!

That is the bell tower of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in downtown Bryan, on the corner of 26th and Parker.
If you are looking for a beautiful church, there aren’t many as beautiful as St. Andrews. I attended a friend’s wedding there in the 1990′s. Its beautiful interior is furnished in dark, rich, polished hardwood. Its stained glass windows, Gothic architecture, and bell tower complement the exterior.
The bell is one of two that were sent from Troy, N.Y. in 1876. One is still used by the church. The other is in the courthouse on the first floor.
St. Andrews is one of the oldest church congregations in Brazos County. Learn more about the church at http://StAndrewsBCS.org.

Great job Jason!!! This makes twice you’ve won. Now you have enough gift certificates to take the boys to the movies and have popcorn too.
