Survey says…… 85% Consider Home Prices Affordable – Imagine If They Were in College Station!
March 27th, 2009 Categories: Market Trends
Century 21 surveyed First-Time Buyers and found optimism in the market! With prices falling throughout the country (Except Bryan/College Station) and additional buyer incentives, first-time home buyers are encouraged even with all the doom and gloom news.
Century 21 Real Estate LLC surveyed 1,000 potential home buyers and found that they think it is a good time to buy a home. 68% said they think prospects have improved for purchase over the last 6 months and even better… 85% consider home prices affordable!
Can you imagine if these buyers were in Bryan or College Station? Our prices haven’t seen great drops but WOW what a great home you can purchase for the money!
56% of the people polled were considering purchasing a foreclosed home and 77% said they are “more than likely to purchase a house in the next 6 months” thanks to the $8,000 federal tax credit for first-time purchasers.
The Top Reasons these buyers gave for buying real estate are:
- taking advantage of current housing prices (73 percent),
- moving to a bigger living space (60 percent), and
- having a more suitable place to start or raise a family (56 percent).
I received information about this survey from Century 21 but then saw it on the Recon Report too. Now is the time to find great deals with great interest rates if you are ready to be a homeowner in Bryan or College Station, Tx!
