COLLEGE STATION Texas FAMILY FRIENDLY – Are you SURE?
August 31st, 2010 Categories: College Station Neighborhoods
College Station Texas is Family Friendly? That is what the RECON Report 8/31/2010 says! I agree!
COLLEGE STATION – College Station was the only city in Texas to make Kiplinger’s list of top ten great cities for raising families.
The findings were based on job growth, healthy economies and vibrant local culture. Additional information such as areas already filled with families with children, quality of public schools, low crime rates, and amount of parks and recreation were then taken into consideration.
“Great public schools and low crime are not the only draws of this small Texas city,” said Kiplinger. “College Station has also seen steady wage growth and a low unemployment Read the rest of this entry »

Bryan College Station Real Estate Market Summary Jan – July 2010

2010 January – July
Bryan/College Station, Texas Real Estate
Market Statistics
Let’s start with the question… What do YOU think about the Bryan College Station real estate market? I’d really like to know. Checkout the charts below.
We are beginning to see that the market may not be holding for our community. I know we all like to think we live in the BCS/TAMU Bubble but the rest of the world is pushing on our bubble. Hopefully July was just a blip for the market but I don’t think so. Thankfully Century 21 Beal is still actively selling and we are still ahead of last year’s business – I almost feel sorry for the other agents in town.
We see that sellers who really want/need to sell are listening to us, pricing the property to get it sold and they are selling. Other sellers are trying to “get what the house is worth” or “get what the comps show” or “get what they need”. As much as I would like to say we have the power to control Read the rest of this entry »

Red Mango Yogurt in College Station Texas
April 13th, 2010 Categories: College Station Neighborhoods, Community Events, Kids, Family & Personal Stuff
Just had to write today and say THANK YOU to Red Mango in College Station, Tx. In my blog I write about many businesses, events, places and real estate around the Bryan College Station area and rarely if ever hear from any of the businesses. Recently I wrote a post about the Children’s Museum and got a very nice thank you email but the Red Mango went a step further.
The Red Mango of College Station (at the corner of Dartmouth and Holleman Dr) not only acknowledged that I wrote about them – they even sent me a handwritten note and a gift card. WOW! Talk about going above and beyond! THANK YOU!
Want to know more about the Red Mango? You can find them on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/redmango and you can even get a coupon for $1 off!
Thank you to the Red Mango for showing people do care and great customer service is alive and well. Wish you only the best in business!

Bryan College Station Parks and Nature Trails
March 31st, 2010 Categories: College Station Neighborhoods
A great thing about Bryan/College Station is that the sister cities’ governance actively tries to preserve as much of natural setting as it can. They’re both developing fairly rapidly, which is great for residents and business owners. What’s even better for residents is that the cities highly value some of the features it began with, like the beautiful trees and the wonderful landscape.
Some of the nature reserves in the Bryan/College Station area are not very well known, even among residents– like the Texas A&M Horticulture gardens. Off South College Road, is a small street called Hensel; here you’ll find Read the rest of this entry »
